SB 998 – Water Shutoff Protection Act
Residential Water Service Termination Policy

California Senate Bill 998 (Water Shutoff Protection Act) set new requirements for residential water service termination for non-payment of a water utility bill. The Coastside County Water District has created a Residential Water Service Termination Policy to comply with these requirements and is effective February 1, 2020.

How Do I Sign Up for a Payment Plan?

Any customer who is unable to pay for their water bill within the normal payment period may contact the district office at (650) 726-4405 to request a payment plan to avoid disruption of service. Additional information can be found in the Residential Water Service Termination Policy linked above.
